First Weekend of 2022
We've got our dates set for the North Pole Express for 2022 and now we're getting things in place. But I still had some pictures that I hadn't posted yet so here we go.
First Weekend of 2021
The first weekend of 2021 is in the books. We had some delays, some rain and a lot of fun. It's been two long years since we last saw the North Pole Express and everyone was ready to celebrate. It was wonderful to see the beautiful Pere Marquette 1225 steam engine. There's something magical about hearing the whistle and seeing the steam roll. Here are some pictures of the event.
January 2, 2020
Here are the last of the pictures of 2019. It was a great year in the village! We had lots of happy visitors.
Somewhere along the line we were so busy that I completely lost track of when and what I had posted. So to finish off 2019 here are lots of random pictures. I hope you enjoyed the North Pole Express and I hope you'll enjoy these pictures.
Already our fourth weekend? Time flies when we're having fun and we hope everyone is having fun when they visit the Country Christmas. Here are lots of random pictures from this weekend. Hope you enjoy them.
Weekend # 3 is in the books
Weekend three was clear and cold on Sat but on Sunday snow showed up. People who rode the train said that it was beautiful. The snow was very pretty but the slush that showed up later was not very welcome.
2nd weekend of 2019
The second weekend of 2019 is in the books. The weather was wonderful. There was just one little disappointment. The 1225 was not here. On the way back to Owosso last Sunday night they had some equipment problems and they are working to get it fixed. There were a few disappointed people but most of the people still had a wonderful time.
First Weekend of 2019
Stickers for sale
Everyone who comes to town can purchase a sticker at the Information Center in the Village office that will allow them to visit all of our venues. Families will never pay more than $20.00 for their stickers no matter how many immediate family members there are. Also, if you live in the village of Ashley you can get a free sticker by providing some proof that you live in the village. ex. water bill, drivers license. If you want to visit more than one time just bring back your old sticker to get a new one.
I'm just a very tired and confused volunteer looking for help.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
